Host Club to the 2020 & 2021 Irish Amateur Open Championship and A Golf Drives “Top 50 European Hidden Gem Golf Course”, located in the famous seaside resort of Salthill Galway Golf Club offers the discerning visitor a Championship Standard 18 hole Parkland Course with spectacular views over Galway Bay, the Burren and Aran Islands. This fine test of golf is 5,974 metres long and plays to a par of 70 with a standard scratch of 72 off the back tees. Access to the first four holes which run alongside Galway Bay is via an underground pedestrian tunnel. With an abundance of mature trees, elevated and tiered greens and plenty of wild gorse to punish the wayward shot you must be accurate off the tee, have a good short game and your putter to be hot to score well - playing to your handicap here, your game is in good shape!!
